How to be a Warden
There are usually 2 wardens in residence at the refugio from early April to late October. They each stay for a period of 2 weeks. Each year there is a training workshop in the UK for potential wardens, usually in February or March. We are in the process of producing a training film showing the way we aim to welcome pilgrims and giving glimpses of a typical “wardens’ day”.
If you are interested in serving as a warden at Miraz (we may still have a few vacancies for 2010 and will be glad to sign you up), please review the selection criteria and then contact the Miraz Wardens Co-ordinator.
How to join a Working Party
Working Parties go out each spring to help get the building into tip-top condition for the pilgrims and the new season, and professional building work is commissioned as necessary. We are always looking for volunteers who can help – Can you paint? Are you able to use a hammer as nature intended it to be used? Not averse to climbing a ladder? Able to cook? Interested?
