Pilgrim Guides to the Roads through France
- The Voie Littorale: Soulac to Hendaye (January 2010) N.B. you can also download a set of 11 maps hand-drawn by the author: see the link below.
Printed copies are still available through the Bookshop, at the usual price, if you prefer.
If you'd like to download any one of these guides in return for a donativo, you have a choice between:
A) a fully-formatted version, held as a .pdf file, and designed to be printed and then folded so as to make an A5 booklet - but which you cannot edit. For the .pdf version you need to follow these steps:
1. If you haven't already got Adobe Acrobat Reader (it's free), which you need to open .pdf files, you can download it here.
2. From the table below, open and print the Printing Instructions for the Guide of your choice (a single sheet, which you only need once, so you can use scrap paper and draft quality printing!). Each Guide is set so as to print as a two-sided book; if you print it straight off, you'll get into a tangle, so make sure you understand the instructions before returning to this page and going to step 3.
3. Open the Guide itself and either print it straight away, or save it to your hard disc for later printing. Return to this page for step 4.
4. Please recognise that we incur costs in creating and making these guides available, and that we depend on your generosity: so please follow the link in the last line of the table. N.B. you can ignore the box in the payment sequence that asks for your membership number - it's there for other reasons.
5. See the Terms on which these guides are offered
and
B) a version in Word which you can edit to create your own Guide. Follow the link on the 4th line of the table, and save the .doc file to your hard disc: you can shorten it, or add extra material, and format it as you choose. N.B. the Word files are offered on the same Terms as the .pdf versions; and we'd appreciate a donativo in the same way.
