www.justgiving.com is a website dedicated to collecting donations on behalf of charities and, in the case of UK taxpayers, to reclaiming the related Gift Aid refunds from the Inland Revenue.
You can use it to
- Create a personal CSJ webpage for your own Miraz fundraising event
- Sponsor a friend’s event
- Donate direct to the CSJ
You may donate anonymously if you wish.
To Create a Personal Fundraising Page
It’s easy to do - simply go to www.justgiving.com/csj/raisemoney click on “create your page” then just follow the instructions given (you will need to choose a password for future access to your page). You can add photos too - but keep them small, and make sure that they are in .jpg format.
You then have the potential to reach a wider audience and your sponsors can donate online, thus saving you the work of collecting money after the event. You can monitor the totals of the funds raised to date and see personal messages left by your supporters.
To increase your support, try emailing, say 5, of your friends with the website details (see Sponsor a Friend below), and ask them to forward the details to 5 of their friends and so on.

To Sponsor a Friend
Go to www.justgiving.com/csj/raisemoney then
Either : type in the name of the person you wish to sponsor
Or : click on “see all fundraisers” and select the name from the list.
Donate direct to the CSJ
Go to www.justgiving.com/csj and complete the “Donate now” section
