For the last few years, Ultreia Mancunia, the regional group of the CSJ for Manchester and the surrounding areas, has organised a Practical Pilgrim Day, to allow newcomers and returning pilgrims to share their enthusiasm for the Camino and offer practical advice.

We had planned to hold this day live in April 2021, but Coronavirus restrictions prevent this.

We are, however, continuing online, and although the format will be different, our aim remains to allow participants to feel fully involved, and so a major part of the event will be group or open discussion.

We are looking forward to hearing personal accounts of Camino experience, one from a member who walked the Camino Inglés in Autumn 2020 (and therefore under Covid restrictions), and a second on a UK Camino.  We are also thrilled to welcome Adam Wells to talk on “Life after the Camino.”

As well as purchasing your ticket, please also ensure that you fill in the interest form to tell us about your experience and what you'd like to learn more about. Once sent, you'll be directed back to this page to continue with the booking.

"Doing your research" - a look at how to navigate the often overwhelming amount of information on the Camino online

"What to take with you" - tips and advice on how to pack, useful things to take and the sorts of things to leave behind!
