There is a whole host of activities being organised around the country to celebrate the Feast of St James in this Holy Year 2021.  This page details what's on offer in London on Sunday 25th July, but if you'd like to know about any activities being planned elsewhere, contact your nearest Regional Group Leader. Not sure who your Regional Group is? Ask us and we'll let you know!

Here's what's happening in London on July 25th:

  1. Firstly, there will be a morning service at St James Garlickhythe at 10:30am.
  2. Then over at CSJ HQ there will be an albergue style bring-and-share lunch at around 1pm.  Bring your own dishes, whether shop-bought or home made and get to know other pilgrims while looking around our office, bookshop, library and gardens (if sunny!)

  3. We'll then enjoy a performance from the CSJ Choir, with music from our late founding member, Dr Mary Remnant.

  4. Afterwards, those that want to will take a short guided walk to the Golden Hinde at London Bridge.  We'll listen to an explanation about the interesting historical links between the ship and Santiago de Compostela!  As of early June, the Golden Hinde is closed to visitors, but if it reopens by July 25th - we'll also be able to look inside.

  5. The day finishes with an old CSJ tradition of attending a special St James's Day evening service at St James Spanish Place at 7pm.

If you are interested in attending any part of the day, please book for free below and let us know which activities you'd like to come to:

1. Morning service (at St James Garlickhythe) - 10:30

2. Albergue-style lunch (and state any dietary requirements) - 13:00

3. Choir performance - 14:00

4. Walk to Golden Hinde - 14:30

5. Evening service (at St James Spanish Place) - 19:00
