About Us

The CSJ UK is a membership organisation open to everyone. Our objective is to promote the Camino de Santiago and provide support and guidance to camino pilgrims.

We do this predominantly with:

Guide books - We publish guides to various routes in France, Spain and Portugal.  Our guides are low-cost and lightweight and are updated frequently by our volunteer camino pilgrim guide writers.  They are also available on Kindle!  Click here to browse our shop.

  • Events - We give face-to-face advice and guidance at practical preparation days, open days, wine bar evenings, reflection events, academic lectures and guided walks around pilgrim routes in the UK. We also actively encourage our members to organise their own local events. Click here for our event calendar.

Hostels - We run two hostels on the camino: Refugio Gaucelmo, at Rabanal del Camino on the Camino Francés and Albergue San Martín at Miraz on the Camino del Norte.

  • We also may be able to offer help to elderly, frail or disadvantaged pilgrims otherwise unable to make the journey to Santiago.  Please email the office for further information.
