Marion Marples, the former Secretary and stalwart of the CSJ for 25 years has died unexpectedly near her home in London, following a collapse in the street. Marion played an instrumental role in the development of the Confraternity from its infancy, advising and supporting thousands of pilgrims on the camino when it was still relatively unknown. Respected and admired by so many in the CSJ and the international pilgrim community, she will be very much missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
The funeral is due to take place on Tuesday 28th May at 11am at Southwark Cathedral. And there will be a burial service in Wimborne Road Cemetery, Bournemouth at 1pm on Friday 31st May. Both are public occasions and all are welcome.
