All timings given in UK time

Background to the Camino - Monday 1st March 7pm
To kick us off, we'll be learning a bit about the Camino's background. Where did it come from? Where is it? Why do people do it? What makes it special? Veteran pilgrim and guidebook contributor, Angelika Schneider and famous Camino personality and writer Johnnie Walker will tell us about the Camino's rich history and spirituality. Q&A session will follow.

Choosing Your Route - Monday 15th March 7pm
Next, we'll be hearing again from the double act of Schneider and Walker on the things to consider when choosing your Camino route. They'll take us on a journey of some of the most popular routes, followed by links to where you can find out more about some of the lesser-known Caminos, each offering their own unique experience. With Q&A session at the end.

Doing Your Research - Wednesday 31st March 6pm
With the sheer amount of information available online, researching your Camino can be overwhelming.  School teacher, Mark Lyford will be giving us his best tips and advice on how to effectively plan your trip and sift out the information from the misinformation. Q&A session at the end.

What to take with you - Saturday 10th April 10am

The all-important question of kit! If you're planning on carrying your own belongings, this needs careful consideration. And whilst everyone's preferences will vary, experienced pilgrims Sue Sargeant and Toni Cain will be running through their contrasting perspectives of the things to take with you - and the things to leave behind!

Holy Years - Monday 19th April 7pm
2021 is a Holy Year, and under the extraordinary circumstances, the Vatican have extended it to also include 2022.  But what exactly does that mean for pilgrims? What's different about doing a Camino in a Holy Year? Here to demystify us, is the Chairman of the CSJ, Rev Colin Jones. Q&A session to follow.

Staying safe - Saturday 1st May 10am
Whenever it is safe to return to the Camino, things may look different.  Pilgrims will likely still have to abide by local regulations on social distancing and sanitisation.  Having walked from Pamplona to Santiago between lockdowns in the Autumn of 2020, Martin Brice will share his experiences of his safe, but enjoyable Camino in the time of Covid, with a Q&A session at the end.

Important to note

These webinars are intended to help pilgrims plan for their Caminos - whenever it is safe to return. We don't yet know exactly when that will be. So please bear this in mind and we will keep you updated as and when the situation changes.
