Caminos in the UK
The camino can be walked as many times as you wish. Some people walk the same route, but in a different season, others walk multiple routes.
There are also pilgrimage routes closer to home, although only one specifically linked to Saint James.
There is a whole host of pilgrimage routes in the UK. The British Pilgrimage Trust have done extensive work into reviving and providing information about dozens of these routes – see their website for the full selection – www.britishpilgrimage.org
St James in the British Isles
There are also many churches around the UK that are dedicated to St James the Great. Volunteers of the CSJ have been working to research and discover them for years and have developed a "St James in the British Isles project".
Thanks to them, we now have a great deal of information about churches of Saint James in the British Isles and about ports, routes and other pilgrimage/Saint James-related items. We are at present updating and augmenting our records and beginning to upload this to the website so that local CSJ groups or anyone interested in pilgrimage can use it to assist their own visits or local research.
