Registration at the Pilgrim's Reception Office in Santiago de Compostela is now high-tech – it is done via the completion of an online form.  This enables the office to quickly and efficiently process and receive the thousands of pilgrims that journey to Santiago every day during the warmer months.  Gone are the days of long queues when certificates were written by hand.

When you arrive from the United Kingdom having walked or cycled a Camino Inglés route and continued in A Coruña, you must check the ‘Reino Unido C.Ing’ (UK) box as your starting location. There are no options listed to check places, such as Finchale Priory, Oxford or Reading.

Your starting date will be the date that you set out in the UK.

The staff and volunteers at the desk who issue your Compostela and Certificate of Distance (if selected during your on-line registration) will then ask you how far you walked or cycled in the UK, which you must confirm by showing them the official table of recognised UK Camino Inglés route distances below on this web page.  They will also want to see in your pilgrim passport the first and last stamps received in the UK to verify your statement, as well as stamps received in Spain.
