Albergue San Martín sits in the very small bucolic village of Miraz, between Baamonde and Sobrado dos Monxes, one of the most beautiful etapas on the Camino del Norte. We provide a warm, traditional welcome in a safe, clean and peaceful environment.

Pilgrims can relax here in front of a wood-burning stove when it's cold, or in the lovely garden when it's warm.  It really is a tranquil little gem in the middle of remote northwest Spain.

San Martín, like Gaucelmo, is donativo, meaning pilgrims just give what they can towards their stay. The Miraz team rely on local services, who often have to travel from far away, to fix any problems that might arise. On this stretch of the Camino del Norte, the pilgrim foot fall is few and far between. So whether it's paying bills, restocking on supplies for the kitchen, washrooms and dormitories or an emergency boiler replacement, donations are so important for them.

All donations are welcome, no matter how big or small. If you'd like to take part in our Sponsor-a-Week scheme, you can choose the £50 donation amount. You will be allocated a week in the season and our lovely volunteer hospitalero/as will send you a report to let you know how it went!
