The CSJ Miraz Committee took the sad decision this week to stay closed for the remainder of 2021. Unfortunately, the logistics of organising a rota of volunteer hospitaleros proved unfeasible while there is still so much up in the air.  Our volunteers come from a variety of different countries, and complying with restrictions both from their countries of origin as well as Spain - which include PCR testing and quarantining - makes things very difficult to arrange. And there is no certainty surrounding whether these various restrictions will be lifted or tightened over the coming months.

This means that both CSJ hostels will have been closed for the entirety of 2020 and 2021.  An unthinkable prospect when we closed up for the season back in November 2019.  Nonetheless, both committees are now looking forward to 2022, when they very much hope to return to the Camino and its pilgrims.

We will see each other on the Camino again! Ultreia et suseia!
