September 2016. A goodly band of six women left Glasgow to do part of the Camino de Santiago, an incredibly memorable experience.

I designed the attached card as a memento of that day and of our Camino. Incorporated into the design are the symbols of Glasgow, based on the life and legends surrounding St Mungo -

There’s the tree that never grew,

There’s the bird that never flew,

There’s the fish that never swam,

There’s the bell that never rang.

The Scallop Shell of course, for St James.

 

The original image was done in pen and ink and then

printed on white card approximate size - 8cms x 8.5cms. inside it read simply “ Buen Camino”.
