My wife & I completed - the easy part - in 2016 and I took along a little paintbox.

Looking back they do reflect the weather (& mood?) to a degree –

Sarria was grey and pretty damp as we set off, for us the centre section cheered up and the completion, after foul storm as we approached which did nothing for morale, saw Santiago bathed in glorious sunshine.

The centre (Day 5) picture includes mention of John’s Stick.

John was an elderly neighbour & former cowhand in the village.

He died earlier in the year and his son passed me his walking stick – merely a length of trimmed hazel.

It was used in his memory.
