The Kent Regional Group was established during lockdown.  Starting out with Zoom meetings to get to know each other, and to begin to make plans, the group has gone onto enjoy a pilgrimage to Rochester Cathedral, amongst other events. A pilgrimage through the various churches, and the cathedral, of Canterbury took plce in December 2021.  The county is rich with pilgrimage connections, and the group is lucky to have many experienced and keen Camino enthusiasts in its midst, so do came and join us!

Latest updates / upcoming events:

June 2023:

Several Kent RG members have suggested that local members might enjoy walking the Crab and Winkle Way, 7.6 miles of fairly easy walking from Canterbury to Whitstable.

The CSJ has recently developed stronger ties with the Confraternity of Pilgrims to Rome.  As you will be aware, pilgrims on the Via Francigena start by walking from Canterbury to Dover, with some walking from London to Dover.  It would be wonderful if there were Kent RG members who might be interested in walking a few miles with passing pilgrims on their way to Rome (as well as those on their way to Santiago, of course!), or, if you live close to the route, perhaps even offering a cup of tea.
