Group Leaders: Carol & Derek Greening and Jim Sollars

This is a small friendly group with members from all corners of the three counties.  We meet on zoom every 2 months to provide advice to those planning a Camino, exchange our Camino experiences and plan events.  Several of our walks in 2022 have been along stages of the London to Walsingham pilgrimage route led by Andy Bull, author of the recently published guide book.  We have also enjoyed walks around historic towns and cities in the three counties and along the Norfolk coast.  We work closely with neighbouring groups, particularly the Cambridgeshire group.
If you are interested in the Camino and would like to meet other local enthusiasts, please contact Carol & Derek:

August 2023

Some members of the group attended a talk and supper at St Andrews Church in Great Ryburgh Norfolk, which is on the Norwich to Walsingham route. Andy Bull gave a short talk about the London to Walsingham Camino and highlighted progress being made with work to improve pilgrim infrastructure. There was a positive discussion about parishes looking  to provide overnight accomodation, and on keeping information regarding support up to date.

The next meet up and walk for the group is planned for Tuesday 22nd August. It will be a 9 mile  circular walk in the countryside around Bury St Edmunds starting at the railway station. Further details will be emailed to regional members shortly. If interested please contact [email protected]

June 2023

The group met on Tuesday 6th June for a walk around Kings Lynn. They visited a number of historic buildings and the Red Mount Chapel and the Roman Catholic church opened for them. To receive emails with details of future plans, please email Carol on [email protected]. We also meet every 2 months on the wine bar zoom chat, with our next meeting in August - a link will be sent out nearer the time to members.
