About us Regional Groups Surrey Group leaders: Keith and Maureen Young We have about 18 members, a few of whom are interested in walking the Camino and a couple of whom have joined the CSJ. The rest of us are CSJ members. Keith and I first walked the Camino Francés in 1996 and then walked in France, part of the Camino del Norte 3 times and the Camino Inglés. We helped restore the CSJ Albergue at Miraz in 2005. In our Surrey Group we have been visiting St James churches in Surrey once a quarter and have lunch afterwards when we collect money afterwards for Miraz for their Sponsor-a-Week scheme. We have a lot of walking friends and try to encourage them to walk the Camino and anyone else we can persuade! Despite cancelling the planned visit to Guildford Cathedral, the group is very active, and has a meeting planned for Wednesday, October 28th. Maureen is keeping tuned into CSJ news via regular attendance at the Zoom Coffee Mornings, to which all members are invited. Please feel free to email Maureen with any queries, ideas or suggestions. For contact details, email the office.
